• Conway Homes is my family's real estate LLC, where we buy, sell, and rent out residential real estate.
• I help with this when I get the chance, since I get so busy from time to time. I enjoy doing this because I get a physical hands-on experience of what details need to be updated, and how the buying and selling process all works. To me, real estate is very interesting and is a great cash flow source. This is why I have always wanted to study finance, real estate, or business, and continue this sort of lifestyle.

• The Zeta sorority at Saint Louis University hosts a breast cancer awareness event called "Big Man on Campus" every October, where they have the volunteers sing and dance to a couple of songs, a talent show, and multiple other competitions. Leading up to the event, they have many smaller events to raise money for breast cancer awareness. As a volunteer, I was supposed to raise money throughout the months of late September and October, raise awareness of breast cancer, and practice the dances and talents for the event. My partner Evan and I ended up winning the Telethon award, where we raised the most money in one week. I am happy I volunteered for this because I was raising awareness and money for something that isn't talked about enough, and is so important to many around the world.

• After my junior and senior seasons, I coached and helped run the De Smet summer hockey camp for the middle schoolers who are interested in coming to De Smet. My job was to obviously coach them, help them through the drills, and develop them as hockey players, but also to welcome them to De Smet and the atmosphere. I also had a speech in which I informed the parents about the hockey part and what they were getting into, as well as the school itself.

In my senior year, I was selected to be a lacrosse manager. For this, I was asked to keep track of all stats for every game, take control of the scoreboard, make sure all backup sticks are lined up along the sidelines, and ensure all game balls are set up along the sidelines and behind the nets. I loved doing this because it is another community and team outside of hockey that I get to be a part of. I grew great relationships with many of the players, coaches, families, and other managers.

• I have younger brothers who play for the same hockey organization, so when I have the time, I go out and help their coaches with practice when they need it. I loved doing this because it brought me closer to not only my brothers, but also to all their teammates and coaches, and it gave me an opportunity to share all of my knowledge about hockey with them.

• This was my senior year service project. I went to refugee homes that are in poor shape in the North St. Louis area, and help rebuild and refurbish them every Saturday for my graduation requirement. This was great because I grew many great connections with the people in need, my classmates who were also volunteering there, and the organization for which I was volunteering.

• Desmet participates in the great Ignatian Challenge every year, where we try to raise 50 thousand pounds of food for St. Patrick Center, a homeless service center downtown in St. Louis, I help bring in food to work toward that goal, track the weight, move the food into buses, and transport it downtown to the service center.

• I was a lifeguard at the racquet club across the street from me from the end of my junior year into the beginning of my senior year. My great friends, Ryan and Jack, and I made friends with many new coworkers, members, and swimming organizations that came by. This was a great first job that helped me see how some sort of business operates daily, from open to close.

• This was my junior service project site and probably one of the most meaningful volunteering experiences I have had and will ever do. Every Monday during my junior year, I went to Ames VPA (Visual Performing Arts), a public grade school in North St. Louis. Ames was an elementary school for young kids who were behind academically in North St. Louis. My job was to be a light in their day because a lot of these kids not only had rough living situations, but they were also many grades behind academically. School was their only chance to kind of get away from whatever situation they had at home. Along with being a leader and light in the students' days, I was also a tutor and helped the teachers with specific students who were struggling significantly. This experience was amazing because not only did you get a break from school yourself, but you were going out into the world and making these young kids' days happy and entertaining. Along with that, it was also pretty fun; I got closer to the other classmates who were there with me, and the kids were amazing, keeping us entertained.

• During my day of service for school in my freshman and sophomore years, I went to a campsite and did a lot of labor work, moving logs, raking leaves, and cutting dead plants and poison ivy. This really helped the environmental park become much more organized, and much healthier for any visitors coming to stay.
