Hardworking student at Wheaton College in Norton Massachusetts. Someone who loves to learn new things and is not afraid of hard work. I see that as an opportunity to grow and learn. I Aspire to thoroughly develop the tools needed to successfully help a business function while expanding knowledge of the inner workings of a business. My experience as a student athlete has also given me discipline and leadership skills
My job is very heavily focused on building relationships with our customers. It requires attentiveness in order to best fit customers for shoes, inserts, and other products that we offer in our store. I take customers through our fitting process. I processed payments for customers and ship outs of shoes from our store to other stores as well as requesting ship out orders from other stores to our store or the homes of customers. Along with organizing shoes and other products both in our storage and on display to make it easy for both our customers and our employees to easily find what they are looking for. I have worked with shoe representatives from various brands when they have come into our store and have traveled to various stores for work. I worked in Melrose over the summer and currently am working in Mansfield during the school year.
I was given the incredible opportunity to work with runners of a variety of different skill levels. I helped provide guidance to these campers and support to help ensure their safety both indoors and outdoors. This experience was a blessing and gave me the opportunity to connect with runners who are at points in their running journeys that I was once in. I helped prepare meals for campers, organized attendance, guided campers on runs, along with making sure that they were aware of and participated in scheduled camp activities. More importantly making sure they were having a great camp experience. In addition to this I also was in charge of making sure campers were in their cabins at night and that they were all safe in the evenings. I also helped facilitate a variety of camp activities, including a dialogue about my running experience in hopes to help others. I was able to speak with a variety of guest speakers and gain insights from them as well.
I gained a considerable amount of leadership experience as a camp counselor at Westwood XC running camp. This experience built upon what I did at Granite State Running Camp. I gained even more leadership experience. I worked with runners of a variety of skill levels. One of my favorite parts of camp was hosting a talk about Mental Health and running. I was able to pull from my experiences in my life in order to help the campers with issues they may be dealing with in their lives. I helped organize a variety of camp activities, took attendance at camp, lead group runs, made sure everyone felt included, and strongly encouraged participation. In addition to this I worked at the camp store and helped facilitate transactions at the store.
