  • Team Member at the Iowa City Downtown Target, mainly focusing on General Merchandise (stocking, retrieving, restocking, etc.) and working up front at the self-checkouts as the front-end attendant doing both cashiering and any customer services. Also train new team members in all areas of the store and in background operations.

  • Solo project head of the Orienteering Project teaching boys ranging from 2nd grade to 10th grade skills in map reading, map making, navigation, gps skills, etc. Created daily lesson plans for 4 hours of teaching at the various 'ranks' of difficulty that the boys could reach. My project was required for all the boys to get through at least the basic level if they wanted to go out on any campouts.
    I helped out with the Outdoor Skills project teaching knots, knife safety, fire building, etc.
    I was also a Senior Cabin Counselor with one co-counselor and 7-11 campers in the cabin, daily expectations of keeping the campers (and ourselves) on schedule and checking in daily with each camper individually to ask about their days and their current emotional states.
