Access Point Process Improvement

My capstone project(MQP) at WPI which was completed with the Network Services team to provide them with an efficient process for Access Point placement that would save them time, costs, and enhance the abilities of their current process. The solution was to implement a new tool and software(Ekahau and the Sidekick 2). Throughout the process, Lean methods and analysis would find wastes with the current process and then improvements would be made. A completed cost analysis resulted in a 25.7% Cost Reduction over the next 5 years, with the additional benefits of extended testing ranges and less reliance on outside vendors.

Voice Network Modernization

An important safety infrastructure project for WPI in rebuilding their voice network, which included the maintenance of their Blue Phone Emergency Systems and Lab Safety Phones. Transfer from a mostly copper and POTs lines environment to a VOIP network using AudioCodes SIP gateways and Zoom implementation.
