• Further in-depth inventory management, setting store shelves, pulling items for short dating or pricing, monitoring item quantity, and performing stock checks for pet parents.
• Reception and processing of incoming stock, both shelf product as well as live animals and plants.
• Handling of opening and closing duties, including the safe and secure processing of store funds.
• Overseeing and performing high dollar or unusual returns, with a heavy focus on checking the validity of proof of purchase.

• Enacting the sale of pets to pet parents while keeping them ready to take their new family member home with proper care, recommending required products as needed.
• Monitoring and maintaining the overall health of pets on sales floor and back rooms, contacting vet and isolating or transporting pet as needed in the event of a health concern.
• Administration of medication or other treatments to pets in back rooms as directed by veterinarian, handling and monitoring a variety of species for their unique health needs.
• Receiving and processed newly arrived pets and live fish, set up enclosures/tanks as needed. Routinely kept said animal enclosures/tanks clean, species appropriate, and pleasing for visiting pet parents.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment in many places around the store, with special focus on the pet care, sump room, and back room areas.
• Overseeing of the health, happiness, enclosures and adoption process of cats in the Everyday Adoption center. Spoke with potential adopters about the unique personalities and needs of individual cats, recommending products or services as needed.

• Duties included greeting, assisting, and overall handling of clients' expectations and needs for each visit.
• Oversaw the creation of appointments, outlined pricing, and determined which services best fit clientele while keeping a balanced schedule.
• Performed grooming regimen on pets under care, as well as monitoring boarded guests for health or behavioral issues.
