I would have Parent Meetings with Parents and have Educators come in and to provide education on Diabetes, treatments , Causes of diabetes, how to ask Family doctor to do labs to check for any illnesses,  referral if needed as well, educate parents about foods, what to avoid , exercises,  limit of liquids like cokes , snacks chips, candies , going out to eat instead of providing nutrionist food at home.

made sure we filled out our application on Healthy Kids Here, we as well worked with CNP, Coaches, Counselors made sure we as well added their information on our application, had it reviewed before we sent it out . I would make like little trophies for the classroom that wouldn't let their students eat chips, candies. ate healthy foods from cafeteria, or home. I was so happy when I would receive my banner and took pictures uploaded into our monthly meetings was sent out as well to parent weekly. My travel was so exciting , guest speakers were well informed , we got to see many other people from many states, and co-workers as well.
