• Operate Delta’s Supertug equipment to reposition aircraft between concourses, maintenance facilities, and remote parking locations.

• Maintain the highest level of safety while towing aircraft on active taxiways and crossing live runways and while positioning aircraft in tight and confined spaces.

• Operate all equipment in inclement weather and during nighttime (with limited visibility).

• Effectively communicate with and coordinate multiple parties, including FAA ground traffic control, tower dispatch, and ground operation, using a very high frequency (VHF) radio.

• Operate auxiliary power units, hydraulic systems, and air conditioning systems on all Delta aircraft types.

• Have a general knowledge and understanding of all aircraft components, ramp operations, and ACS policies and procedures.

• Properly and safely operate all equipment and be trained on all aspects of jetway operations.

• Create manpower/assignments
• Direct team members to perform all of their assigned duties in an ontime manner
• Enter in Daily Logs/POI’s
• Maintain open lines of communication between team, leadership, tower, and cross divisional partners
• Lead crew by setting a positive and professional example of how to perform all of the necessary duties safely, properly and in full compliance with all applicable policies and procedures related to the Super Tug Program, and general operation
• Manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Sending end of shift reports to upper management and fellow leads.

• Lead and coordinate aircraft deice activities

• Monitors aircraft VHF frequencies and ensure proper data is transmitted

• Ensure truck is equip with all necessary equipment and de icing solutions
• Safely approach aircraft in freezing temperature weather and snow storms to spray solution to remove any contamination from aircraft.

• Provides pilot instructions for aircraft movement in taxi lanes and deice pads in coordination with DL Ramp (Pad Commander)

• Communicates state of deice operation to appropriate personnel

• Provides analysis and recommendations

• Accountable for safety, operational performance and regulatory compliance
