Summary

My career goal is to become a successful lineworker at Eversource. Obtaining this Position would greatly further both my career and life goals. Firstly, I am a very hardworking and determined individual who wants to be successful with a very strong drive to work hard. My drive to work can be attested to working landscaping and construction whenever possible in order to become successful at such a young age. I am mechanically inclined as I service and repair everything on my equipment and truck and have a great understanding of tools and equipment. As stated below, I am a member of the Newington Volunteer Fire Department and do various tasks such as climbing and working off of tall ladders and bucket trucks in all weather conditions. With being in the fire department, I have experience working under stress and making difficult decisions given the hard circumstances and time constraints. Additionally, I have my OSHA-10 Construction Safety and Health card along with CPR and Stop the Bleed certifications; demonstrating that I have a complete understanding of First Aid and medical incidents that are common in the workplace. I have wire Guarding and Damage Assessment experience from Maverick Construction, being called to work storms as a wire guard or Damage Assesor. As a Wire Guard, I have taken the required safety courses associated with electrical dangers; while also being able to identify primary, secondary, and cable lines.

Work Summary:

Being a contractor for Maverick Construction involves work from Damage Assessment to Wire Guarding. Getting Contracted for almost every major Storm on the East Coast I have been able to work for Utility Companies such as Eversource and New York Electric and Gas. Damage Assessment work involves pre requisites of completing and passing qualifications tests. A Damage Assessor or Wire Guard plays an essential role in the safe operation and repair of utility systems. This position requires a keen understanding of electrical systems, strong safety awareness, and effective communication skills to mitigate risks and ensure efficient repairs while maintaining a safe working environment.


Special Skills:

  • Reading Overhead Circuits both Digitally and on paper map and following accordingly
  • Inspect and assess utility infrastructure (wires, poles, transformers, etc.) for damage caused by weather, accidents, or other external factors.
  • Document and report the extent of the damage, including photos, detailed descriptions, and recommendations for repairs or replacement.
  • Work closely with field teams and engineers to prioritize damage repairs based on severity and impact.

Work Summary:

Joining the cadet division at 14 years old and training and gaining experience for the next 4 years to prepare for the Firefighter 1 Certification test. During my time as a Cadet I held multiple positions firstly Engineer for an Engine Company, 2nd Lieutenant of the Cadet Division and Finally Captain of the Cadet Division for over 1 year. At 18 years old I attended the fire Academy and was able to pass my Firefighter 1 Certification and am now a qualified interior firefighter. Duties now include responding to emergency situations, including fires, medical emergencies, vehicle accidents, and natural disasters. Your primary role is to protect life, property, and the environment through effective firefighting techniques, rescue operations, and emergency medical care. You work as part of a team to prevent, suppress, and manage fires, ensuring safety in the community.

Operating Different Trucks and machinery from Class B Dump trucks to Class A tractor Trailers with heavy Machinery loaded on such as Skid Steers and excavators with a gross weight over 26,000lbs. Pre trip inspections were conducted every morning to ensure trip safety and jobsite skills such as digging and grading with a excavator were performed daily. Concrete wall and form work was also done almost daily to prepare jobsites for concrete. Equipment organization and maintenance was done every day. Calling 811 and following town official blueprints was done at every jobsite prior to digging
