I am a graduate of the University of California Davis where I earned a BS in biochemistry and molecular biology. My freshman year I became interested in public health and epidemiology and I was able to specialize within my major by taking all the classes necessary to fulfill a global disease biology minor. I have mainly worked in childcare in my neighborhoods but have begun pursuing a career in public health as a research assistant of the lab support unit at the california department of public health. My work and educational experiences have taught me skills such as communication, public speaking, teamwork, lab safety, pre- analytical specimen processing, specimen handling, lab techniques and much more.
