Skills

  • Proficient in PCR-based typing (rSSO, SSP)
  • Competence with antibody screening and analysis
  • Demonstrated knowledge in all areas of a histocompatibility laboratory accredited for solid organ and bone marrow transplantation
  • Demonstrated knowledge of flow cytometry equipment, assays, and analysis (assays include Stem Cell (CD34) Evaluations, TBNK Lymphocyte Subset Analysis)
  • Experience with the laboratory’s on-call rotation (24/7) for the histocompatibility testing of all deceased donors
  • Quality Control Testing (ASHI Proficiency Testing)
  • Specimen handling

Research

Undergraduate Research Assistant, Department of Neuroscience, UVM, 01/2023, 05/2023, Assisted Private Investigator Dr. Julie Dumas with the evaluation of brain functioning in post-menopausal women after receiving choline. Collected and manipulated magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) data into Excel for further analysis. Compared the MRS signal on the choline day to placebo day using a paired t-test, along with other statistical tests. Oversaw MRS data calculations from MRI scanners. Observed how MRS calculations are processed using standard analysis streams for MRI analysis. Contributed to hypothesis generation and data acquisition of the MRS data using various applications, such as DICOM viewer. Observed functional MRI testing, accompanied by a full-time research assistant.
