• Delivered direct patient care and performed clinical nursing skills in a medical-surgical inpatient unit
• Performed patient assessment, monitoring, and supervised clinical procedures and interventions
• Case Handled: An amputated type II diabetic patient refused to take their insulin
• After times of teaching on the risks of refusing the medication as well as the benefits, the patient finally agreed to take their insulin
• Patient was not forced to take the insulin
• As the nurse (student extern) of the patient, I respected their decision while providing appropriate teaching.
