• Work as fully independent NP alongside an attending neurologist to provide exceptional care as a primary stroke service.
• Manage multiple patients independently, including overnight when attending is not in-house.
• Work cohesively with attending and other APPs to formulate and execute plan of care and exhibit great teamwork on a very busy service
• Experience with neurohospitalist consults
• Work as part of a medical team with entire neuroscience department including neurointensivists, neurointerventionalists, neurosurgeons, neurologists, and APPs
• Respond to acute stroke codes in the emergency room and inpatient to quickly evaluate neurological emergencies and determine interventions such as intravenous thrombolytics and mechanical thrombectomy
• Provide comprehensive care to patients regarding their post-stroke care, as well as treating their comorbidities

• Provide safe and comprehensive care of critically ill patients with diverse medical conditions, with specific focus on neurological conditions such as traumatic brain injury, subarachnoid and intracerebral hemorrhage, spinal cord injury, and ischemic stroke
• Safely utilize and assist in the management of multiple modes of critical care support such as the use of ventilators, EEG monitoring, non-invasive cardiac monitoring (LidCo), vasoperssor support, and invasive lines
• Partake in multidisciplinary collaboration to strive to provide care that results in the best patient outcomes for critically ill patients
• Provide education to patient and family regarding plan of care, as well as support those facing end of life.

• Initially hired as agency RN but transitioned to full time Queen's employee after three months
• ·Provided quality care within scope of practice on Stroke comprehensive neuroscience unit to a large variety of patients suffering from neurological conditions and neurosurgical operations
• Demonstrated time management caring for multiple high acuity patients and providing evidence based, individualized care that met the specific needs of each patient

• Provided support to patients, families, and caregivers during end of life and created a culture for the patient to die with dignity, encompassing their goals for end of life experience
