- I break them into groups and ask them to discuss the week's assigned reading.
- I incorporate, discuss, and explain the assigned reading to them.
- I urge my students to ask questions they feel they cannot ask in class due to fright.
- I incorporate their daily experiences into the theme of the discussion or a song that reinforces the theme of the week's discussion.
- I grade my students' weekly discussion assignments and mid-term papers.
