EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

BEXEL
06.2008 - Current
  • To provide services in various sectors of the economy with emphasis in Telecommunication and oil/gas sectors
  • Expanded Bexel Franchise agreement with MTN Nigeria from 1 outlet to total of 11 overseeing a workforce of about 60 people and making Bexel to consistently ranked by MTN Nigeria as one of the top Franchise performers in the telecommunication industry.

GAS DELIVERY LEADER

SHELL PETROLEUM DEVELOPMENT COMPANY
01.2005 - 05.2008
  • In the Eastern land asset of Shell Nigeria, about 200 opportunities were identified for maturation using Opportunity Realization tools
  • Initiated $1.5b Eastern Domestic Gas Growth Project to supply about 2.2Tscf of gas to Afam power plant, Aluminum smelting company (ALSCON) and other allied industries in the region, by tapping into resources that have been dormant for over 30 years
  • Supervised the Drilling/Completion of fields located in Gbaran-Ubie Node (major source of Gas supply for Nigerian LNG Trains 4/5/6)
  • Mentored and Coached New Petroleum Engineers to ensure they acquire necessary Petroleum Engineering, Production and Well Engineering Skills in the field
  • Coordinated activities of other stakeholders to achieve optimal results
  • Matured an Exploration find in Agbada North into production at savings of $0.5m and developed reserves of 4.0Mmstb from the well alone plus other huge development prospects.

CHIEF GEOLOGIST

SHELL PETROLEUM DEVELOPMENT COMPANY
01.2002 - 12.2004
  • The Gbaran-Ubie Trains4/5 Study Team was taxed with safe guarding oil production by gathering associated gas in "flares down" policy; identifying possible locations in Gbaran -Ubie node to meet contractual obligation of NIGERIA LNG Trains 4/5 requirement of 1Bscf/day for 20year period
  • Ensured that project had minimal environmental, safety, health and environmental impact on the community in line with ESHIA while identifying socio-economic development enablers
  • Led a multidisciplinary team on site visits in the harsh Niger Delta terrain to identify suitable project locations in strict compliance with ESHIA requirements
  • A team of 5 Geoscientists carried out 3D seismic interpretation and designed 25 robust oil/gas well proposals including the first development gas well in Gbaran with 3 multi directional segments with both appraisal/development objectives
  • (8Mmstb of oil and about 33Bscf of gas)
  • SPDC SNR PROD GEOLOGIST

Senior Production Geologist

01.2001 - 12.2001
  • Condensate Team in Rijswijk, Holland to appraise rich gas availability in Nun River deep reservoirs, which resulted in constituting the Gbaran-Ubie phase 1 study team to develop feed gas for Nigerian LNG Trains 4 & 5.

GEOLOGIST

SHELL PETROLEUM DEVELOPMENT COMPANY
01.1998 - 12.2000
  • Designed and executed the 1st integrated oil/Gas Field development of Soku field contracted to supply about 501Mmscf/d to the Nigeria LNG trains 1 for 22.5years period in addition to developing about 60Mmstb of locked-in oil
  • Embarked on a continuous 4-years drilling campaign for Shell Nigeria developing 10 Non-Associated Gas (NAG) producers of which one produced gas rate of 151Mmscfd a Shell Group record
  • Campaign resulted in 14 Oil Rim Development (ORD) wells in very thin oil columns
  • New strategic concepts like commingling, well clustering, concurrent operations and "zero waste discharge concept" all first in Shell Nigeria operations were adopted to minimize footprint on environment and about 25% reduction in total project cost
  • Developed a 10,000bopd Exploration well North of the Soku main field (dormant for 40 years) in a Shell Group record time frame
  • This was done outside project scope
  • Coordinated Quality Well Delivery Process (QWDP) integrating Well engineering, Petroleum engineering, Field Engineering, Explorationists, surveyors, HSE, Community Liaison resulting in robust budgets and successful campaign in Soku field and other Eastern Niger Delta fields like Santa Barbara, Ekulama, Nembe Creek etc
  • Managed the IGDB (Interim Geological Data Base) contract of 6 contractors and 20 staff ensuring that all corporate subsurface data were migrated into one system
  • Mentored and supervised young Engineers/Geologists in various petroleum engineering and geological skills.

GEOLOGIST

SHELL INTERNATIONAL EXPLORATION AND PRODUCTION, RIJSWIJK HOLLAND REVIEW
01.1997 - 12.1997

  • Supervised 15 geology interns while completing site suitability studies over course of project.
  • Developed and implemented real-time data interpretation and communication strategies for field investigations.

GEOLOGIST

SHELL PETROLEUM DEVELOPMENT COMPANY
01.1991 - 12.1996
  • After a 10years dormant period, designed and drilled 3 new Soku wells, for gathering subsurface data prior to kick-off of Nigerian LNG Project and in turn developed about 15Mmstb of oil
  • Data from the 3 new wells and newly acquired and interpreted 3D seismic data was used in updating the existing Soku well correlation forming the basis of reservoir geological input into Soku Field Review and Field Development Plan (oil/gas)
  • Initiated and designed 2 cluster locations in Soku
  • This was a 1st in Onshore (Swamp) cluster drilling in Shell Nigeria.

GEOLOGIST

SHELL PETROLEUM DEVELOPMENT COMPANY

  • As an Operation Geologists organized the monthly Eastern Divisional Drilling sequence meetings to produce an updated Short Term Drilling and Workover Sequence
  • Facilitated timely approvals for all proposals from Government and other regulatory agencies
  • Generated Well costs for both drilling/completion/re-entry wells in Shell Nigeria Eastern Division and ensuring compliance with planned budget
  • Supervised duties of 20+ non-technical staff in Petroleum Engineering Department who provided administrative and logistics support to our field project teams and ensured strict compliance with respect to regulations and safety in the work environment.

ECONOMICS ENGINEER

SHELL PETROLEUM DEVELOPMENT COMPANY
01.1986 - 12.1988
  • Computed all well costs items like location preparation, rig, drilling, casings, logging, cementation, mud, tubings, logistics, etc for all wells in Shell Nigeria used for budget
  • Budgets are sent to Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) for statutory approval and also sent to Joint Venture partners to get their buy-ins
  • Undertook project Evaluations in Corporate Petroleum Engineering Office
  • Evaluated economic viability of oil/gas projects in all Shell Nigeria locations (Eastern and Western division) applying various fiscal regimes
  • Both CAPEX and OPEX cost elements, petroleum profit tax, royalties and production forecasts were used to determine project viability
