Accomplishments

  • 2013 All-terrain Vehicle (ATV) certification and part of the Big Bend Sector of Sierra Blanca Texas Station ATV unit. My time in the ATV unit allowed me to track and apprehend groups of undocumented aliens entering illegally through our area of operation. My prior experience in the ATV included rigorous hiking to respond to ground sensing equipment and Drawbridge/game cameras in remote locations.
  • 2015 Part of the Disrupt Unit working the Sierra Blanca Area. As an experienced Senior Patrol Agent I was given the opportunity to work undercover and surveillance local houses in the Sierra Blanca to gather intelligence in possible stash houses. As an Agent in the Disrupt I would interview aliens that were apprehended to gather information on possible Alien Smuggling Organizations (ASO).
  • 2016 Sensor unit in Sierra Blanca Station included rigorous hiking to respond to ground sensing equipment and Drawbridge/game cameras in remote locations. In the sensor unit I was in charge of gathering information on possible lines of travel smugglers would use to traffic groups and drugs in our AOR
  • 2019: Certified in the, Big Bend Sector of Sierra Blanca Texas as a Field Training Officer and Instructor As an experienced Senior Patrol Agent, I have received specialized classroom training and certification to meet the requirements/standards of a Field Training Officer (FTO) for the United States Border Patrol. I am responsible for the training and evaluation of a junior or probationary level agents. A new trainee is usually only allowed to work with an FTO for a predetermined amount of time, or until the field training staff determines that they are ready to work on their own. Field training typically lasts for 12 weeks, allowing a more one on one based training program to help transition from academy training. I am responsible for making sure shift duties are performed properly and completely. My duties as an FTO also involve being a role model, clearly communicating the expectations of training, teaching the trainee the policies of the Border Patrol, correctly applying concepts learned in the classroom to everyday job related task and evaluating the trainee on his or her progress.
  • 2019 Acting Supervisory Border Patrol Agent As an experienced Senior Patrol Agent, I have received the opportunity to take on the position of an Acting Supervisory Border Patrol Agent of the unit. I was tasked with morning reports of the daily operations in the station, schedule managing and assignment management of agents.
