  • Perform regular routine maintenance and PMs.
  • Troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair temperature, pressure, level, and flow transmitters including Foxboro pneumatic controllers and transmitters 13A/15A/43AP models, smart positioners, LEL monitors, wireless transmitters and communication gateways.
  • Function check and test interlocks to verify set points, alarms and system functions. Communicate with operations and DCS engineer/programmer when troubleshooting or scoping out problems.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot M4 KNICK, Rosemount, and Metler Toledo pH and conductivity meters.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on Thermo Fisher Mass Specs.

  • Function test pressure, level and flow transmitters using TREX and 475 Communicators, bench calibrate, test valves and transmitters. Sold off over 1600 plus instrument loops to Phillips 66 Instrument Technicians, and QC’s.
  • Breakdown and assembly of all malfunctioning control valves and transmitters.
  • Double check terminations on instruments according to electrical drawings, walk down vendor skids. Document all instruments that have been calibrated and spec checked, then upload information onto Excel spreadsheets. Measuring orifice plates with micrometer to ensure they met factory specifications.
  • Work with instrument fitters when pressure testing tubing systems and involved with pre-start and start up procedures while working with plant operations to troubleshoot problems during start up phases.
