Work History
Alcohol/Drug Counselor (ADC-T)
Genesis Recovery Services, LLC
03.2020 - 11.2023
I started my journey with Genesis Recovery Services as an Intern March 2020 through November 2021
At that time, I was hired onto the team and Began my journey as an ADC-T (Alcohol and Drug CounselorTraining) During my time at Genesis, I had the opportunity to do Comprehensive Assessments, Intakes, Treatment Planning, and provided individual sessions for my clients
Assisted clients in setting realistic goals, developing action plans, and monitoring progress towards achievement.
I have experience of Running Intensive Outpatient Treatment groups; Both Women's IOP Group and Co-Ed IOP Groups
I enjoyed being able to meet the clients where they were at
Being able to provide needed information to help them on their recovery efforts, supporting them during their challenges, giving them encouragement when they needed it
Being there if they had a crisis and just needed someone to listen and/or offer options towards solutions
Every single day working with the clients and seeing the smiles and the hope on their faces made me realize that they not only learn from me and the material provided, I continue to learn from them
I find that to be very rewarding all around.
