Summary

Hi! My name is Parish, I am 16 years old and a rising Junior at Mountain Brook High School.

I have previous experience working in my Mom’s retail store, where I have done everything from helping customers on the sales floor to organizing new products. I’ve also worked behind the scenes by steaming linens, cleaning, organizing displays, and helping the store run smoothly.

I would say that I am dependable, hardworking, and organized. I enjoy working with people and am looking to create a welcoming shopping experience for customers. I work well as part of a team, learn quickly, and am always willing to help wherever I’m needed.

I would love the opportunity to learn more about the retail business.

JH Ranch

JH Ranch in Etna, California, had a lasting impact on me both personally and professionally. The experience strengthened my faith, taught me the importance of treating others with kindness and respect, and helped me build meaningful relationships with people from different backgrounds. Living in a scheduled, and structured environment encouraged teamwork, adaptability, and strong communication skills. I also learned the value of encouraging others, avoiding judgment, and creating a positive environment. These are values I carry with me every day, and I believe they help me contribute to a supportive and productive workplace.

Moondance Adventers

Moondance Adventures challenged me to step outside of my comfort zone and become comfortable in the uncomfortable. Traveling with a small group of teenagers taught me independence, confidence, and the importance of being myself. During the program, I volunteered in Tanzania by helping clean local communities, assisting with efforts to safely reroute elephants away from villages, and connecting with people from different cultures. During my time voIunteering, I discovered my love for learning about new cultures and sharing my culture with their community.

I also traveled to Maui, where I participated in conservation projects to help preserve the island’s natural environment. These experiences strengthened my leadership, teamwork, adaptability, communication, and problem-solving skills while giving me a deeper appreciation for serving others and learning from different cultures.
