The National Honor Society of Alpha Lambda Delta/Phi Eta Sigma needed volunteers at the Westerville Public Library for arts and crafts and to sort books. The first time I volunteered at the Westerville Public Library was in March of 2023, I stacked and stapled flyers and brochures together then other members helped with arts and crafts. The second time I volunteered at the Westerville Public Library was in March of 2024, I helped sort books by placing stickers on them.
I volunteered as part of the Alpha Lambda Delta/Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society at the Winter Involvement Fair at Otterbein University. Alpha Lambda Delta/Phi Eta Sigma had a booth stand, and we were handing out brochures and talking to incoming students trying to recruit new members.
This program allowed me to interact with residents by incorporating art into their visits. There were different types of art mediums used that enabled us to create fun and engaging art projects. Through this process, we were able to socialize and build friendships with the residents.
