  • My job consists of mentoring groups of kids, which range from 10 to 20 kids at a time, mainly ages 6 to 11, but sometimes preteens and teens. I help them with their homework, teach them how to be valuable friends, and have healthy and kind relationships with their peers. I teach them that it is okay to lose in sports, but it’s also okay to be excited when they win. I provide lesson plans that keep the kids entertained and engaged, help build their confidence, teach them how to read, write, and improve their skills in math and science. And I help provide an environment in which they feel safe, secure, and comfortable with themselves and others.
  • Improved children's behavior through coping skills and other therapeutic interventions.
