Accomplishments

I am an accomplished author and have written 2 books on my family's history. I am also an historian and a member of the local Suwannee County Historical Commission. A community activist, President of Friends of the Library. Recipient of the Florida Department of Agriculture, Century Pioneer Family owner designation, first African American in the State of Florida. Recipient of 2 Florida Pioneer Descendants Certificates from the Florida State Genealogical Society, for being a builder settler before the year of 1845. National Genealogical and Family History Book Award Competition Nominee.

On November 22, 2025 was an unveiling and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for a historic marker at my farm, Southern Heritage Historical Farm. My first book is entitled Christmas in the South: A Proud Southern Heritage and is as far away as The St. Louis County Missouri Libray.
