l was the Assistant to the President, Vice President and other executives. My responsibilities were dealing with all our foreign offices, placing and tracking orders, booking on vessels and ultimately getting our products delivered to our warehouse. I was also in charge of handling all travel for the executives whether it be in the US or for their trips to the Orient. When the President retired, his children took over and subsequently after 33 years, I was laid off. All the President's people were eventually laid off.
