Projects:

• Prevention of Falls- Presented at hospital skills fair and unit interventions to reduce falls with patients and how to properly score fall risk scores. Outcomes shows falls consistently declining on our unit and hospital.
• HAPI's & CAUTI's- Presented at THAM skills fair for RN/PCT education on HAPI's and CAUTI's. How to reduce HAPI's and CAUTI's and the process of reporting. Outcomes included vigilantly assessing for HAPI's and educating staff on procedures of documentation and reporting.
• Six-minute Walk study- Presentation at THAM skills fair, nursing unit and hospital education fair in service. Brochure created on how to document and complete a six-minute walk study for patients needing oxygen. Outcomes included staff documenting and completing these walk studies correctly.
