- I was expected to implement drastic improvement on an unfamiliar product line in just 30 days
- I was successful at using lean Manufacturing fundamentals in order to decrease direct labor cost per unit produced from $36 to $17
- Increased capacity from 35 units per day to 70 in a regular shift or 100 when working overtime
- The lean tools used were that we implemented 5-S, balanced operator cycle times to tact time, used Kan Ban tasks in fabrication and machining operations, and restructured standard work to do this.
