Medical Surgical Clinical Rotation - Medical City Arlington 

• Provided direct patient care for adult populations with acute and chronic conditions in a high-acuity med-surg unit.
• Administered oral, subcutaneous, and intramuscular medications under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
• Prepared and administered insulin, heparin, and other injections using proper dosage calculations and safe injection techniques.

Psychiatry Clinical Rotation - Millwoods

• Provided compassionate, nonjudgmental care to patients with mental health conditions including depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, anxiety, PTSD, and substance use disorders.
• Observed and participated in group therapy

Critical Care Clinical Rotation - Baylor Scott & White Heart & Vascular 

• Monitored and interpreted vital signs, cardiac telemetry, and hemodynamic parameters to identify changes in patient status.
• Observed and assisted with advanced interventions such as ventilator management, central line care, and chest tube monitoring.
• Performed high-level patient assessments, neuro checks, and focused cardiac/lung assessments in a high-acuity setting.

Women's Health Clinical Rotation - Parkland 

• Provided care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients in a high-volume women’s health unit.
• Assisted in labor and delivery, including fetal monitoring, cervical exams, and supporting patients through the birthing process.
• Observed and assisted with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and newborn care immediately post-delivery.

Pediatric clinical - Children's Medical Center 

• Provided patient-centered care to infants, children, and adolescents with a variety of acute and chronic conditions.
• Performed focused pediatric assessments including vital signs, growth measurements, and developmental screenings.
• Conducted thorough pediatric assessments, including pain evaluations using FLACC and Wong-Baker scales, and developmentally appropriate physical exams.

Community Rotation - Arlington Memorial 

• Focused on Inpatient wound care management, providing care to patients with chronic wounds, surgical incisions, pressure injuries, and diabetic ulcers.
• Assisted with wound assessments, staging, and documentation, noting signs of infection, drainage, and healing progression.
• Observed and participated in wound cleaning, packing, debridement, and dressing changes using sterile techniques.

Capstone - HEB Hospital 

• Completed a 1:1 preceptorship, functioning with increased independence in patient care within a high-acuity hospital setting.
• Managed a full patient load under RN supervision, including assessments, medication administration, documentation, and care planning.
