Accomplishments

    1. MILITARY SERVICE.


    - Served in the US Army Reserve from 1985-2006, retired at the rank of Master Sergeant E-8.

    - Trained soldiers and subordinates on military subjects.

    - Was able to and wasn't afraid to take charge.

    - Was selected on two occasions to train cadets at the United States Military Academy at West Point. This ended up getting a letter of appreciation in my military file by the Director of Military Instruction at West Point.

    - Was deployed to the middle east in 2002 in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and was awarded the Bronze Star.

    - Graduated from the US Army Drill Sergeant's Academy one month shy of turning 20 years old. At the time I was one of the youngest Drill Sergeants in the Army. At the time the Drill Sergeant Academy had almost a 50% wash out rate.


    2. COMMUNITY SERVICE.

    - Been a 38 year member of the East Bloomfield Fire Department, served 5 years as an Assistant Fire Chief, 4 years as a Fire Commissioner and 2 years as Vice President. I have a lengthy record of training to my record and was a licensed Emergency Medical Technician for 27 years.


    3. HOBBIES.

    - My late father and I built a large collection of antique cars and trucks that went on to win over 90 national awards. This is a collection that I still have in my possession today.

    - Of this collection, 6 of them are fire trucks, 3 pumpers, and 3 ladder trucks. Two of the trucks have no power steering and no synchro mesh transmissions. Three of them have diesel engines and air brakes.
