- Was head OSS with one other person for the clinic. Maintained the clinic, as well as the biweekly and monthly duties, checking and processing mail, keeping inventory of equipment, ordering equipment, cleaning Hydrocollator.
- Floor: Worked with patients to complete exercises, used modalities as prescribed. Worked with PT/PTA and gave feedback when asked. Offered support and encouragement to patients, formed positive and fun relationships. Worked with a lot of ESL or non English speaking patients, as needed used family as translators, or used google translate to the best of my ability. Learned how to say hello and thirty in 20+ languages. Learned enough Spanish to be able to work with Spanish speaking patients, as well as using translators as needed.
- Front Desk: Worked to intake new patients, check in and scheduling active patients. Explained patient benefits such as copayments, deductibles, coinsurance as well as handled copayments or coinsurance payments. Was the primary person for any insurance questions from fellow OSS, our Physical Therapists or Assistants, and handled patients regarding their insurance. Worked with off-site staff for patient visit limits, contacted doctors directly for referrals, surgical protocols, as well as changes to plan of care. Worked with discharge list as well as contacting patients who had missed an appointment, appointments, or had not responded recently.
