Summary

I pride myself in my career choice and am grateful for the opportunities presented to me throughout my tenure. With that pride comes the realization of what we as Police Officers are tasked with doing. I recognize and have maneuvered both liability and implied liability throughout the multiple assignments I have held thus far in the Utica Police Department. Many of which deal with the search and seizure of individuals and high risk situations. I humbly state that to date I have not been named in any law suits nor have I lost any cases to suppression hearings nor at trial. I have always taken the time to coach, teach, and motivate young officers coming through our ranks and maintain a positive and informative working relationship with members of the Patrol Division, Criminal Investigation Division, the District Attorney's Office, and most importantly the community. I currently hold certifications in General Topics instruction, Defensive Tactics Instruction, Firearms Instruction, and RBT Instruction. I have been assigned and excelled in many specialized units to include, SWAT (Entry/Sniper elements), Tactical Unit, GIVE Strike Team, GIVE unit, Special Investigator with OCDA's Office, Special Investigator with NYSP, and am currently assigned in General Assignment CID. I pride myself with dedication to my chosen profession and believe that a strong work ethic and accountability are absolute necessities in any position held within law enforcement.
