- I started Dove Tail Bat LLC in 2007. We made custom baseball bats for amateurs while becoming proficient in learning the business. In 2009 we opened our e-commerce site and started selling online. In 2014 we took the leap to get into Major league baseball. In 2015 the Kansas City Royals won the World Series where 70% of the runs scored were with our product. That gave us the jumpstart for marketing and being able to excel to gain professional market share.
- In 2016 I created an investor group that would help fund us to get us to the next level. In 2020 was able to pay off all of my investors with a healthy ROI. In 2022 I marketed and sold the company to a larger competitor and we closed on the deal in the spring of 2023.
- I was the log procurement manager which enabled me to build relationships with log brokers and wood cutters throughout New England. Being a licensed log scaler gave me the ability to bring our COG from $50.00 per pc. Down to $4.00 per pc. Therefore, being a powerhouse in an extremely competitive industry.
- I designed and helped fabricate all machinery for the log operation and bat manufacturing. Designed and fabricated all material handling for spray and finish applications.
- Increased output capacity by overseeing the installation of new machinery and upgrading existing equipment.
- Implemented safety procedures to decrease workplace accidents and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Was in charge of Pro sales at the Major League level. Building relationships with equipment managers, agents and players.
- Opened new sales territories on the west coast from Texas to California. Hired a General Manager to run a sales team and market across the retail markets for baseball, such as Dick’s Sporting Goods, Scheels and, Dbats throughout the US.

We raised 2 boys and have 4 awesome grandchildren.
