Hello my name is Paul Sanderson. I am interested in applying for the position of Lead Park Maintenance Worker at Rancho Jurupa Park. I am currently the Senior Park Maintenance Worker at Rancho Jurupa Park. I have been an active member of the Rancho team for over 8 years. I have been a part of the Parks District for around 12 years. I am currently fulfilling the role of a Lead Park Maintenance worker in many ways and look forward to enhancing my abilities to help the District better Serve the customers of the County of Riverside that visit Rancho Jurupa Park. There is currently nobody else working at the park that knows the way this park functions better that me. I believe I can use my knowledge of the park to better lead the other employees to fulfill their role in how the team can work together to better maintain the facility and serve the public.   • With The C.S.A. Team I had to deal with many people in the community parks that were acting up and were a security risk to our customers in the parks. Many of them were on drugs or acting in such a way that I had to ask them to leave the park. I've had to contact Riverside County Sheriff on a number of occasions.
  • In the Mountain Parks a part of my duties was to patrol the parks and make sure patrons were abiding by park rules and are acting in such a way that keeps all the customers safe. I Explained park policies, rules, regulations, and County ordinances. A part of my duties as well has been and is to deal with customers that may be upset at the time and help them to calm down and go back to their activities happy. I answered public inquiries and complaints, assisted in emergency situations, patrolled the park to promote an orderly atmosphere, and issued warnings.
  • At this time at Rancho Jurupa Park I still patrol the park to promote an orderly atmosphere, deal with customer inquiries and complaints, explain park policies. As an added part of my duties I monitor workers on the work release program.
