LAKE COUNTY SCHOOLS
- To facilitate, implement and oversee behavior management programs for individual and groups of students to develop effective learning environments with the appropriate grade or academic level.
- Understand and apply basic principles of applied behavior analysis in classroom settings as directed by the district behavior support team.
- Conduct classroom observations using behavioral measurements needed for functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
- Assists teachers in the development and implementation of a social skills curriculum that is appropriate to students with and without disabilities.
- Collect and submit data needed for functional behavioral assessments (FBAs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) to the assigned school/district personnel.
- Provides direct professional services 1:1 or in group settings to students in need of behavioral training.
- Implement behavior intervention plans and instructional strategies as directed by the Behavior Analyst or school team.
- Provides training for teachers and other professionals who work with students with behavioral problems.
- Assists educational instructors in developing strategies to work with students demonstrating emotional and/or behavioral difficulties in the classroom.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of students' activities and behaviors, which may require the use of a computer to enter student data, complete forms, schedules, and/or reports.
- Collaborate with school and district level teams.
- Utilizes current technology, as appropriate, to perform job functions and participates in training programs offered to increase technology skill level, job proficiency, current trends, and best practices relevant to the area of responsibility.
- Performs related duties as directed.
- Salary Range: PAY GRADE E19
- FLSA Status: NON-EXEMPT
- Reports to: PRINCIPAL
- SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
