Dear Sir or Madam:
I am writing to express my interest in the Job ID 504 Coordinator position. I have 15 years, as a classroom teacher, 2 years as a 504-Coodinator, and 2 years as an Alternative School Study Skills teacher, including 6 years as a Mental Health Professional. I work with families and develop therapeutic processes to better relationships, help clients define goals, plan of actions, gain insight, and guided clients through the referral process to psychologists and other services. I examine issues including substance abuse, bullying, anger management, careers, relationships, depression, self-image, stress, suicide, ptsd, etc., and take a holistic, mind-and-body approach to mental health care, and self-help care.
My qualifications combined with strong work values, a solid educational background, and compassion for students to be successful in every walk of life. As an educator, I have managed Para-teachers, and mentored enthusiastic student-teachers. Additionally at EBR (East Baton Rouge), I have worked as a Lead teacher with the Before and After School program served students in diverse capacities; resource, self-contained, study-skills, community-based-generic, community-based autism, emotionally disturbed, back-on-track, and alternative school high school students.
My highest degree is a master's degree in special education from Grand Canyon Christian University. I hold a State of Louisiana teachers' certification in K-12 Mild-Moderate Special Education –Level 3 certification, and an Out of State Special Education certification in Arkansas.
Some of my strengths include leadership, motivation, organization, management, compassion, and goal-oriented. I am knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, Assistive Technology software and applications.
I have a strong educational background in various issues that could impact a life. I am fully committed and determined to advocate for students and families facing challenges, as I believe every student and parent if given the proper guidance, can find a path to their success.

My primary job as a 504 Coordinator was to developed accommodate plans to ensure that a students identified with a academic, physical, mental, or a medical disability identified under the Act 1508 ADA- law receives appropriate accommodations, modifications, and guides to ensure that their are successfully in school and can access the general curriculum learning environment like their aged-appropriate peers.
My job as a PRS clinician is to teach students self-awareness,replacement therapy, sound therapy, play games, talk, teach breathing techniques, counting, and how to identify pressure buttons.
