I worked in two restaurants as a hostess/food runner, I worked at Dicks Sporting Goods in apparel, and I babysat children all while being a student athlete in high school. Balancing a job as well as my sport and my education has has taught me perseverance, adaptivity, and time management, but it has also given me the chance to build relationships in the community. I would say my top characteristics are being outgoing and friendly, organized/responsible with my priorities, and coachable. I love to help people and put a smile on someone's face every day if I can. In high school I was a peer tutor, a link crew leader, and involved in DECA. I would say I am one to work very hard in whatever it is that I am doing whether that is my school work, my sport, my job, etc.
This is my current job until I move to Tempe. It is pretty much the same basis where I am in charge of greeting and guiding customers to their table, while bussing tables for my servers, and managing the to go/online orders. I have to also be super friendly and outgoing, as well as be able to deal with the unpleasant people from time to time. However, I am also a food runner. This means I am in charge of watching the window and delivering the correct food to the correct table when it is ready.
I was in charge of greeting and helping customers to a seat while cleaning tables for my servers, and managing to go orders. I had to be super friendly and outgoing, as well as be able to deal with unpleasant people from time to time. I also had to be super organized, which was never an issue for me, in order to avoid unfairly distributing tables amongst my servers.
With being a student athlete, as well as someone who cares a lot about my grades, I have been able to be recognized in a lot of ways throughout high school. I made my principals honor roll, first team academic for two years in a row, invited to National Honors Society, and completed high school with a weighted 4.2 GPA.
