Tree Removal
855 Treeman specialized in tree take down and removal. I was set as a groundman for one of their crews. I have been on multiple jobs that were difficult in many aspects. Some being that the tree or trees that we had to remove were in terrible locations, some were to close to a house or shed. Where I would have to help the other guys rope down big heavy branches away from the house before actual taking down the tree itself. I was also switched on different crews to help others with whatever it was they needed. I had no problems with everyone there. The communication between me and everyone else was never a problem. Sometimes I would get to the job before the others and the foreman would ask me to talk to the landlord to see which trees we had to take down and if there was anything else to be mindful about. I would also get everything set up and ready for when my other crew members did make it to the work site so they didn't have to wait to set up everything to being working. I would make sure all the ropes that we needed were out and all the chainsaws that we needed were gassed up and ready to go, the chipper was turned on and ready to to start chipping branches. At the end of the day we would pull the trucks into the shop, unload all the equipment and make sure everything was clean and empty. I would have to take the chip truck to a dump site to dump all the chips, so the trucks would be ready for the next morning. I thoroughly enjoy working with people that are easy to get along with, and can overcome an simple situation. Some jobs never went as planned but we would take extra precaution and step back look at the situation come up with a plan and follow it step by step. We always had our safety gear on and on hand. our hard hats, gloves, steel toe boots, and safety glasses would be once we stepped out of the trucks on the job site. Overall I believe that as a worker im able to communicate and execute a task im given with coworkers or simply by myself.
