• Primary duties as a VA Police Officer were to deter and prevent crime, maintain order, and investigate crimes (ranging from summary to felony offenses) which may have occurred within the jurisdiction of the Department or its federal assets. Additionally, as a uniformed armed officer; I enforced all federal laws, VA rules/ regulations, gathered evidence, questioned suspects/witnesses, made arrests and collaborated with community organizations and local law enforcement agencies.

• Reviewed recorded video for areas that have been identified as critical areas; expediently retrieved any video data kept in storage as needed; duplicated video data in multiple media format, as needed; provided special monitoring and recording for investigations, special events, and/or projects; advised proper authority of potentially hazardous conditions; searched and retrieved video data of incidents or events from previous recordings; generated, prepared, and analyzed reports related to monitoring the CCTV Sub-System; and provided quality assurance reviews and preventative maintenance checks for recorded video.

• Contributed to the agency's public safety mission by supervising and counseling probationers in a community setting. Utilized excellent communication skills and evidence-based practices to effectively manage caseload.
• Accepted position due to unexpected demise of previous position.

• Primary responsibilities were to collect and analyze claimant information from automated systems to conduct investigations, determine if fraudulent activity occurred, and present evidence in detailed reports. Additionally, I interviewed and corresponded with claimants to obtain fact-finding information and pertinent documentation per Code of Virginia, title 60.2; to assist with unemployment insurance adjudicative decisions.
• Position/Specialty Unit was ended due to budget cuts.

• Background Investigator - September 2016 to August 2018 Conducted comprehensive interviews with subjects, employers, associates, references and individuals to gather information for security clearance adjudicative purposes. Was consistently recognized as a top monthly producer on team.
• Federal Police Officer - June 2007 to September 2016 Protected agency personnel, facilities and information through the enforcement of federal laws and agency regulations. Contributed to all shifts by regularly volunteering for overtime hours and trained new officers on duty.
• Investigative Name Trace Analyst (2 yr. Rotational Assignment) Counterintelligence/ Counterespionage - October 2012 to December 2014 Conducted name traces and analytical queries against various corporate databases; to identify any derogatory, counterintelligence, or counterespionage issues . Consistently remained top statistical producer on team; was nominated by my deputy chief and team leader for an Exceptional Performance Award for production and quality of work.
