As a 50+ year resident of this town (born and raised and retired here), I am proud to say that my family is on its 5th generation in our community. I am currently the Vice President of my own company and a retired police officer who is committed to improving (and maintaining) a specific quality of life for the residents of Pemberton Township to enjoy for future generations. I am committed to listening to the problems, as well as the needs, of the residents of this town to attract both new residents and future businesses that will increase the relationships that our community so desperately desires. I believe that my drive, as a police officer, to maintain a safe community during my years of service will continue to push me to strengthen the bond between the residents of our town and the men and women that protect them.
I am a proud member of the Garden State Gun Club and was recently voted to the position of Vice President of the Club beginning January 2024. This accomplishment has happened because of my ability to effectively (and safely) organize and lead between 30-50 men for NJ Deer Season for the last 30 years. My duties also include maintaining a safe club for the men to gather as well as supervise the monthly meetings and financial stability of the club which has been in existence for nearly 100 years.
I was recruited for this position by the Supervisory staff of the Pemberton Twp Police Department. I was responsible for the safety and training of new recruits during their first 24 weeks after successfully completing the Police Academy. My duties for training were in the areas of self defense, patrol tactics, motor vehicle stops, investigations, questioning of suspects/victims, arrest procedures, motor vehicle crash diagrams and reports, neatness and appearance of uniforms as well as numerous other police functions. I ensured that ALL of my recruits treated all residents of our township with the utmost courtesy and respect during all interactions. In my opinion, being and FTO was the most prestigious position I could have held during my employment. I believe that my superiors respected my police tactics and my relationships with my community and wanted them passed on to the next generation of officers that were hired.
