  • Presiding member of the Town Board
  • Chief Fiscal Officer of the Town- oversaw budget, capital plan, and projects
  • Oversaw daily operations of all Town Departments with over 300 full time employees
  • Spearheaded East Hampton Town's environmental efforts and open space acquisitions including 33 acre Bistrian Farm in Amagansett and the Wegley Parcel on Beach Lane and Main Street in Wainscott. Partnered with Peconic Land Trust to preserve important properties on Georgica Pond
  • Coordinated emergency and disaster responses, issuing declarations of states of emergency, including: Wainscott water contamination (PFOS), Covid-19 pandemic- implementing safety protocols, establishing a testing and vaccination center, Southern Pine Beetle response, coastal storm preparation and responses
  • Managed multiple Town projects with staff and outside agencies: Montauk Downtown Beach Restoration Project, Coastal Assessment and Resiliency Plan (CARP), Wainscott Water Supply District, Energize East Hampton- Megawatt scale solar farm and residential roof top solar incentive, South Fork Wind Farm, All Hands on Housing (effort to ameliorate staffing shortages due to housing costs)
  • Public Relations- presided over public information meetings, press conferences, interviews, TV, radio, social media, and print ads
  • Worked extensively with Federal, State, County, Town elected officials, agencies, and private groups including: Senators Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand, Governor Kathy Hochul, Army Corps of Engineers, FAA, NYSERTA, NYPA, NYS Senators Ken LaValle and Anthony Palumbo, NYS Assemblyman Fred Thiele, NYS Dept of Environmental Conservation, County Executive Ed Romaine, County Legislators Bridget Fleming and Ann Welker, the East Hampton Town Trustees, Peconic Land Trust, Peconic Baykeeper, Peconic Estuary Program, Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons (ARF), The Nature Conservancy, Suffolk County Water Authority, LIPA East Hampton Historical Society, Bayman's Association, PRFCT Earth PRJCT, Change Hampton, Montauk Historical Society, local food pantries, The Retreat domestic abuse shelter, Montauk and East Hampton Chambers of Commerce, Concerned Citizens of Montauk, Long House Reserve, Project Most, I-Tri and many others.
