Hard work is always important to pursuing goals. Balancing being a sophomore at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee has taught me that you need to work hard to get what you want in life. In my past jobs, I have focused on working hard by showing up on time, connecting one-on-one with my clients, and always being prepared to be flexible. In life, I plan on continuing to work hard by getting my major in Chemistry and my minor in Accounting. By doing this, I can expand on my ideas and knowledge, as well as sharpening my determination.

During this four week shadow program, I followed the daily tasks of three Certified Nursing Assistants and learned about the different procedures each CNA was responsible for. I met with many different patients and watched as the CNA nurses administered medicine, took patient information, ran vital medical tests, cleaning off medical supplies and responding to on-call emergencies from patients. This shadow program was very useful to me in my understanding of the medical profession and what a daily life in the medical professor looks like.
