Awards

Fred Rodgers Award (Camp Lincoln), 2018, The Fred Rogers Award, the recipient of which is nicknamed "Mr. Nice Guy" is given to one camper each year who exemplifies what it means to be respectful and mindful of both others and the environment. The camper who receives the award is said to embody the "Camp Creed,” a set of values that dictate and emphasize how a role model camper should conduct themselves and how they should strive to interact with the camp community. The award is among "The big three" given by the camp, all of which are widely accepted as the camp's most prestigious awards alongside the achievement of the eagle club award.

Community Service

  • West University Senior Center, 2018, Designed instruction-led training program to help local seniors stay in touch with emerging technologies and applications. The program, “Peyton’s Technology Corner” Washington hosted at West University Senior Center on a bi-weekly basis.
  • See To Succeed, 2018, Volunteered for the See To Succeed operation providing complimentary vision screenings and ultimately, free-of-charge corrective eyewear to underserved school-aged children who did not have access to optometry services.
  • Palmer Church, 2018, Worked diligently with other missionary volunteers of all ages to help renovate and repair properties in the Diocese of Costa Rica.
  • Hurricane Clean-up, 2017, Helped rescue neighbors by boat due to dangerously high water in residential flood areas; transported a doctor to a woman in labor trapped in apartment complex.
