My main focus and interest is working with kids. I do many things with them such as actively participating in Girl Scouts, babysitting, being a CIT at my town's YMCA summer camp and school clubs. I've been a Girl Scout for 10 years now; since the first level, Daisies. I love being able to help motivate and encourage younger girls. Secondly by becoming Red Cross certified in babysitting, I am capable of babysitting children. In the past I have babysat for my neighbors and family friends; ages 2-7. I am passionate about being a counselor-in-training. While there, I get to learn skills like how to work on a team to maximize safety of everyone there. Lastly, I am in 2 clubs at Wilton High School: Paws for a Cause and Peervention. Paws for a Cause hosts bake sales to help a local animal shelter called ROAR. Peervention is a club where we go to one of the elementary school on Monday mornings. This is to motivate students who struggle in school.
I am certified for babysitting by Red Cross.
I have completed my Bronze and Silver Awards in Girl Scouts. My Bronze Award was done with my whole troop. We created feral cat houses to distribute in my town. Many people don't know about the feral cat colonies that are in Wilton. For my Silver Award I worked with 2 girls in my troop. I learned how to many time with teammates. We built cold frames which are like mini greenhouses that sit on top of plant beds so that produce can grow later into winter and earlier int the spring.
