Po-Yuan Yu

Hi, this is Po-Yuan Yu, a fourth-year University Student majoring in material engineering with substantial academic achievement and volunteering experience. I established strong leadership and was satisfied communicating in Mandarin and English while creating a Asian Communication Club during high school. With club activities, I often assist new immigrants to fit into new environments without hesitation. Whereas it helps establish my people skills and enthusiasm for assisting people. During high school, my friend and I joined code day, working on establishing an app to remotely control the camera on our personal device to replace the function of the house camera. Although the app does not help us to win the title, it gives me a brief idea of basic coding, including C++ and JavaScript.

In college, I often had opportunities to work with elementary schools, introducing some basic ideas on material engineering to kids. I am capable of simplifying complicated concepts and introducing them to the beginner. During the pandemic, I also took a few lectures in biological science, which may help develop new biological-related materials that associate with the idea of smart materials that can recover automatically.

Due to my personal experience, I am looking for opportunities associated with materials development or any related internship in producing and manufacturing materials.
