Work History
Senior Product Manager
Prokeep
08.2020 - Current
During my tenure on this team, Prokeep has transitioned from: a simple B2B text messaging service to a multichannel conversational CRM and from a small business to a VC funded fast growth startup. Our team has grown from only myself to an 8-member product department, with myself training and handing off many of these roles as our staff increased. Finally, we have successfully raised our product’s price has increased 240% with no negative impact on customer retention, due primarily to customer and prospect satisfaction that the product's quality has increased sufficiently to justify the price increase.
As Prokeep’s first Product team member, I served in a variety of roles and capacities; in addition to my primary responsibility of managing strategy and day to day execution of our product portfolio, I functioned as the team’s scrum master and product marketer, along with stepping in to assist with regression testing, UX design, and tier 2 customer support.
I also mentor two junior product managers, assisting them in guidance around product alpha and beta testing, business case development, and overall career growth.
Product Manager, Sr. Business & Logistics Analyst
The Home Depot
04.2017 - 08.2020
I began my tenure at the Home Depot as a Senior Logistics analyst on a 6 person team that functioned as an internal startup dedicated to building a Truckload Optimization software. This software yielded $22M in annual savings by reducing the number of trucks needed to transport inventory to Home Depot stores. While in this role I developed a failsafe process which resulted in a 100% reduction in catastrophic failures, and process improvements that removed 67 hours of manual work per month with process simplification and automation.
Following the successful implementation and broader rollout of that software, I moved to a Product Manager position focused on developing a new, cloud based, replenishment software that controlled the annual ordering of $50B of products sold by The Home Depot. My sprint team delivered this software 5 weeks ahead of schedule.
Project Manager and Network Design Engineer
AT&T
04.2013 - 04.2017
I joined AT&T as part of a rotational leadership development program in their technology space. At AT&T I worked first as a Project Manager in a non-technical role and then in a technical role as a Network Design engineer. This position helped me realize the ways in which product management was the correct role for me, as in many ways it is a blend of being an engineer and being a project manager.
Industrial Engineering Co-op
Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding
09.2011 - 05.2012
Throughout college I worked in a variety of research positions and in an industrial engineering co-op program. During this time I focused on taking on as many responsibilities as would be allowed an intern while trying to learn empathy by working with a diverse array of colleagues.
I revitalized the employee suggestion program for process improvement, serving as the primary point of contact for future suggestions, analyzing a 2 year backlog of suggestions.
In my final semester I statistically justified process improvements which reduced rework from 24% to 13% and presenting my findings to navy scientists to convince them of the validity of the process changes.
