In my years of scouting, I enjoyed most our annual backpacking trips in the Sierras. I have hiked over 200 miles and camped over 20 nights in my 4 trips. These trips established self dependence, problem solving, and extensive planning, which are all skills that carry over into my everyday life. In addition, playing Varsity level sports has emphasized the positive aspects of a hard working and enjoyable team.
