Provide patient care in ER under supervision of a Registered Nurse or Paramedic within the scope of practice of an EMT. Respond to 911 medical calls as part of the ambulance service and provide patient care in the prehospital setting within the scope of practice of an EMT

Attend EMT class and practical skills training. Attend clinical experience in the Emergency department of several local hospitals. It was a paid EMT apprenticeship to fulfill the EMS shortage in my area of Iowa.

Attend the cash register, clean and stock the kitchen and the customer area. Prepare food for customers, generally assist customers.
