- Assist with developing new operation systems (ie: OMCIS II & OMCIS III)
- Tested and provided feedback that would improve the design and operation of the OMCIS system
- Create Power point outlying procedures to complete applications and insurance filings
- Attended the Kaizen Lean Ohio program to help develop strategies to be more user friendly
- Assisted with creating Employee handbook for the Motor Carrier Registration department
- Respond to inquires relating to registration code enforcement and technical difficulties with online registration
- Assist callers with getting to the correct department for assistance
- Gather information to give presentations
- Receive and process Intrastate, Hazmat and Unified Carrier Registrations
- Provide company with the correct permits, either CPCN/PUCO or Hazmat permits
- Review and file documents provided by carriers, drivers and third party companies
- Access multiple database to update carrier records (ie OMCIS, Secretary of State, Department of Insurance, FMCSA, SAFER)
- Verify all application requirement documents
- Respond to inquiries and request specific regulatory information regarding registration and application procedures
- Provide assistance and information regarding compliance issues
- Respond to inquiries from insurance agents, transportation companies, carriers, drivers, attorneys and the general public via email, face to face or over the phone
- Index imaged registrations and corrections within the correct database
- Provide documentation to the Fiscal department for reconciliation of revenue collected on a daily bases
- Maintain past and current knowledge to perform everyday tasks within the department
- Greet and direct visitors
- Reply in a timely manner customer complaints through email
- Provide technical assistance to carriers, third party and insurance companies
- Access multiple databases to provide company history
- Assist staff processing applications
- Update and verify carrier records
- Assist with daily maintenance of office equipment (paper, toner cartridges, keeping storage room and safe locked)
- Gather information to address concerns and respond to carriers
- Provide status of applications by phone, email or in person
