  • As the CHAIR of California State University (CSU) System’s Risk Management Authority(CSURMA), we created the First Self-Insured Workers’ Compensation and its’ First Cyber Liability, Litigation Prevention, Emergency Preparedness, & Large Event Planning programs, currently being used by Fortune 500’s, federal, state, and local governmental agencies throughout the US. The CSU comprises 23 campuses, 80 business units, 500,000 students, 23 Police Departments, and 50 thousand faculty members involved in global teaching and research.
  • In addition, I oversaw HR and risk management departments, with 5,000 individuals and 1,100 global research projects under my leadership. I also simultaneously led the California State University System's Joint Powers-Risk Management Authority (CSURMA), which governs CSU's leadership activities involving risk strategies, financial internal-operational auditing, compliance, and cost containment.
