I am a highly motivated and energetic person that has a lot of experience in sports. I have played sports my whole life and the sports world is something that I want to continue to pursue. I am lucky enough to get to play softball at the D1 level and It has taught me many different life skills that will carry over into the work place.
My softball team and I volunteered with an organization called Red Door and went door to door handing out food to people in need during the holidays.
For this job I was required to watch two young girls from the evening into the night. My responsibilities were to make sure the girls ate, put their pajamas on, brushed their teeth, and I had to read to them before bed.
My softball team at the University of Memphis volunteered to work with the Nobody Trashes Tennessee organization and we walked around our campus and picked up trash in small groups and we worked together to clean up our campus and the community of Memphis.
At softball camps us players are placed in different stations and we help out the campers with whatever station that we are working. So if we are in the throwing station we help them with throwing techniques, if we are working on bunting we will teach them different ways to bunt and the right mechanics of bunting, and the same goes with hitting and defense, we teach them skills based on the level that they are at.
Once a week myself and all of the other people that worked with this company would meet in a parking lot where the delivery truck would drop off all of the farmers market groceries. We would fill our orders that we had for that week and then I would take all of my orders are drop them off at each persons house.
Some things that I am proud of are being apart of the Best Buddies program in high school, winning a state championship in high school, and making it to the D1 level for softball. Best Buddies is something that I am very passionate about because I think inclusion is very important. Winning a state championship was a big accomplishment for me. My team played a 17 inning game and we had to work together to get that win so it was a very special moment. Playing at the college level is something that I always wanted to do and I worked very hard to get that opportunity. So it was very rewarding when I was given the opportunity to play at the Division one level.
Things that I enjoy doing are working out, playing with my dogs, spending time with my friends and watching sports.
