I have over 25 years of homemaking, child development (while raising our four children), teaching, gardening, decorating, and musicianship. I have a wide variety of church and community volunteer experiences, including a pivotal role in the Four Winds Community. I excel in community building, teaching, problem solving, strategic planning and friendshipping. My leadership has enhanced our neighborhood, church and community cohesion.   • My focus is to train up the next generation of church musicians so we also integrate conducting, playing with people singing along and find opportunities to serve, even at the beginning level.
  • Conduct individual and group music lessons lasting from 30 - 45 minutes each.
  • Built my studio from 4 to 20 students.
  • Encourage my students to use their piano playing to serve others at home, through church and at our Christmas Joy piano recitals at an assisted living center.
  • Each of the 3 yearly recitals has a focused theme and gives an opportunity for students to play a variety of music on different pianos.

  • Helped organize a tri-stake Good Friday musical Easter program with musicians from a number of smaller congregations.

  • Began by supporting our two sons as they created garden beds and installed retaining walls at Arcado ES for their Eagle Scout projects.
  • For the next 8 years collaborated with teachers on a weekly basis to develop customized garden plans that met their specific needs and preferences.
  • Focused on teaching students and teachers about seasonal growing and harvesting of vegetables.
  • Enhanced garden aesthetics by designing and implementing creative landscape concepts in the front of the school and around the playground as well as in the Outdoor classroom garden.
  • Solicited donations from Home Depot.
  • Invited and organized school families, youth groups, my family, missionaries, and Cub and Boy Scouts to give service in the garden.
  • Planted and trimmed trees and bushes.
  • Planted and maintained nice grass.
  • Identified and removed invasive plants.
  • Brought our bunnies and chickens to the school on school garden work days.
  • Performed fall and spring cleanup to clear brush and debris from landscaped areas, including using, storing and maintaining tools.
