My current place of employment, our Emergency Department, sees over 300 patients a day. Here, I work full time. 2pm-2am

This includes Triage, Regular Medical, Pediatric, Psychiatric and Trauma.

Adult Level 1 Trauma, 5 to 1 patient ratio.

• Independent skills and assessment experience with ECGs, vitals, IV access, bloodwork, and cultures. Assisting skills in NG tubes, Chest tubes, thoracotomies, foley catheters and intermittent cauterizations as well as CPR. Other related experience with Life flight retrievals, hospital transfers, septic patient care, dialysis care, wound care, seizure and stroke protocols. Further assisting skills with CPAP and BiPAP, emergent intubations, CT and X-Ray’s, Motor Vehicle Crashes, Gun Shot Wounds, animal bites, homeless population, ETOHs, Psychiatrists, Labor & Delivery, OB/GYN, and postmortem care.

Pediatric Level 2 Trauma, 5 to 1 patient ratio.

• Patients ages range from 1 day-17yrs old. Independent skills and assessment experience with vitals, throat and nasal swabs, IV access, blood work, blood glucose levels and blood cultures. Assisting skills in foley catheter, intermittent cauterizations and CPR. Other related experience with Pediatric Psychiatrists, behavioral and mental health, Child Protective Service cases, Social work, spinal taps, seizure and stroke protocols, ingestion of foreign objects, poison control, CTs and X-Ray’s.

Adult Psychiatric in the Emergency Department

• Experience in the Psych Ward as Safety sitter, IM dosing, soft and hard restraints, bloodwork, vitals, proper redirection and deescalation of patients. Prevention of elopement risks and collections of patients belongings as well as Certs.
• Mentored and guided new nursing staff members to the fast-paced Emergency Department environment. Strong critical thinking skills while prioritizing multiple high-acuity patients at once. Self-motivated, with a strong sense of personal responsibility. Respects the rules and guidelines of patient privacy and hospital guidelines. Ensured support and patient satisfaction during difficult times.

Ortho/Nuro Surgical Assistant. Pre-Op and PACU care.

• 2 to 1 patient ratio. This unit provided surgeries for 50 to 60 patients a day. Here i also established vitals, pain assessments, and closed loop communication with families, nurses and surgeons. Provided proper patient education on the use of pain pumps, slings, immobilizers, drains, surgical site care and safe ambulating.

Physical Therapy Technician

• Supported and educated up to 20 patients a day on proper ambulating with injuries, safety techniques and use of equipment provided by the PT.
• Reported on patient’s progress and provided after workout recovery use of e-stimulation and ultrasounds for faster recovery.

• Maintained clean and welcoming dining environment, ensuring a positive guest experience. Built rapport with regular customers and attentiveness to their preferences. Here we held 8 different weekly leagues and 24 golf outings for fundraisers, memorials and reunions.

• Organized racks and shelves to maintain store visual appeal. Handled cash transactions efficiently. Built relationships with customers to encourage repeat business. Managed returns, exchanges and refunds in accordance with store policy.
• I worked part time here while going to school full time and playing college softball.

• Maintained a clean and organized front desk to gym area, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Sold supplements to members from beginners to pro-card athletes.

• Small personally owned business in Royal Oak where I cleaned customers houses weekly to their satisfaction in exchange for cash or checks.
