My responsibilities in this job are numerous. They include: feeding the inmates, caring for them, providing recreation time, ensuring their well-being to prevent suicide or harm to each other, informing them about their schedules, calling nursing staff when necessary, making rounds with nurses, and administering necessary medications to inmates.

Other responsibilities include responding to emergencies such as inmate fights, assaults on officers by inmates, and medical emergencies. Additionally, understanding and complying with radio transmissions is crucial.
